Rural Estate Diversification

Full lifecycle support for rural diversification projects from ideation to launch.
2010 - Present
Lead Consultant
Sam has led rural estate diversification projects since 2009, bringing expertise to all stages of projects including; feasibility, ideation, design, business planning, fundraising and project management, through to business launch and sustainable trading.

Sam has supported dozens of rural estates, with their diversification ambitions.  For some of those it was the full project journey such as William’s Den, and for others it was just a chapter or two, depending on the needs of the client.

Projects have included: commercial workspace, residential property, social / community land use, glamping, health and fitness clubs, visitor attractions, farm shops and outdoor adventure facilities.

Often these projects have complex ownership and funding arrangements as a result of multigenerational stewardship or group ownership structures.  These projects require care, tact and diplomacy to ensure the needs and desires of all parties are met.  This is the sweet spot of where Sam’s work with conscious leadership and authentic communication meets commercial strategy and planning, to unlock exciting projects that meet the interests of all involved.
