Social Sports Society transforms under-loved urban spaces into vibrant sports venues. The anchor sport is Padel Tennis which is the world’s fastest growing sport and a highly profitable use of underutilised property.

Sam led an inspiring team of in-house professionals and regional consultants to design and prepare five sports centres for launch, with a combined capital budget of over £15m.

He led the company through the launch of the first venue at Wembley Stadium, London; an impressive facility in an iconic location.  This served as a valuable proof of concept and provided a strong foundation from which to grow the company. 

‍

Sam then led the preparation of the company’s investment prospectus for a successful crowd funding campaign on the UK’s largest crowd funding platform. 

‍

This was a challenging and rewarding role as CEO of a private equity backed start-up with a staff-team based in London and owner / investors based overseas. The role required careful stakeholder management and a proactive approach to creating a strong company culture.
