Trauma & Attachment First Aid

Social Enterprise equipping those that support individuals affected by trauma
2014 - 2016
Consultant
Trauma & Attachment First Aid (t+afa) is a not-for-profit social enterprise that equips families, professionals, and organisations to better support those affected by trauma.

The work of t+afa spans training, consultancy, courses, and therapy; helping to unlock the potential of children, young people, and adults whose trauma impacts behaviour and learning.

Founded by a Social Work Manager, Development Trainer, Mental Health Therapist, and GP, t+afa takes a creative and dynamic approach to meeting complex needs. The team delivers a range of services from Theraplay for children, to training in trauma, attachment, personality profiling and team dynamics.

Sam and his wife Beth supported the early-stage development of t+afa, contributing to a successful start-up funding bid, shaping governance structures, and offering best practice guidance.
